Asparagus Aphrodisiac: The 19th-century French Were on to Something

In 19th-century France, bridegrooms were served three courses of asparagus at their prenuptial dinner for good reason: asparagus is an excellent source of potassium, fiber, vitamins A, C, B6 and folic acid. The latter is said to boost histamine production necessary for the ability to reach orgasm in both sexes.
