Summer Madness Is Not Cool

Inflation is upon us and this economic travesty turns
society and wealth upside down. Wealth is essential a lie. Money is a promise of future reward for current
production. During inflation, spending becomes a virtue, savings a vice. Numbers
fail. Social contracts break down. Infrastructure begins to crumble and entire
populations lose their respect for the system that is not honest. National
equilibriums are thrown off balance. Anger then becomes the driving national
emotion.
Learn how to prosper from inflation. Join Merri, Thomas Fischer of Jyske Bank
and me at our last International Business and Investing Made EZ course in North
Carolina this year. Review where to invest and do business now and learn which
markets and currencies may be strong in the year ahead. Meet Steve Marchant,
our man in Ecuador, and learn about products to export. See our schedule of

During times of anger, especially during the summer heat, it is good for our
health and wealth to be able to maintain our balance. We need ways to remain
calm when everyone else is out of balance.
Rudyard Kipling reminds us of this in his poem “If”:
“If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,”

The importance of controlling anger goes way beyond fighting inflation. This
can be a life saving tip!
The American Heart Association has shown serious connections between heart
disease and anger. People with high anger are three times more likely to have
a heart attack. High levels of anger have been shown to hurt the heart more
than smoking, obesity or diabetes.
So here are several natural health tips for keeping cool when everyone else
is hot and not.
We learn the first tip in an article entitled “Football Star Uses New
Acupressure Technique to Calm his Road Rage -- No Drugs Needed”. Here’s
the article:
“For some people, road rage is more than just bad behavior; it’s
a psychiatric condition, according to researchers from Harvard Medical School
and Chicago University. If someone has more than three explosive outbursts
in their lifetime, threatening physical harm or causing damage to property,
they may be diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED).
“But there are alternatives to using prescription drugs like antidepressants
or mood stabilizers, to combat road rage. Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
is a do-it-yourself acupressure technique used by many to calm themselves in
traffic and avert angry, destructive outbursts. It involves fingertip tapping
on select acupressure points while focusing on the disturbance in question.
This adaptation of acupressure claims an 80% success rate in calming the body
and mind’s anger response.
“Seth Joyner, former Arizona Cardinals linebacker and three time Pro-Bowler,
learned EFT to enhance his sports performance but uses it regularly in daily
life. When using EFT as a stress reliever he found it helped him control road
rage. Says Joyner, ‘Anger management really has more to do with your
reaction to a situation than what someone else does.’ He no longer gets
angry when someone cuts him off in traffic; instead he taps.”
This tactic can be learned by downloading the free EFT Manual at http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftmanual.asp
I checked the effectiveness of EFT with our long term friend and acupressure
expert, Michael Blate, at the G-Jo Institute. He replied:
“Gary, the EFT mentioned in the article is the same technique that we
have taught in our workshops and seminars, in one form or another (there are
several ‘styles’ of ‘EFT’) since the early 1990's.
It is a profoundly effective method.
“This self-tap method was first popularized by Dr. Roger Callahan (‘The
Callahan Technique,Thought Field Therapy’) and was made far MORE popular
by Gary Craig. Callahan charged tens of thousands of dollars to psychotherapists
to teach them this method; but Gary Craig essentially gives it away for no
charge, at all.
“Gary Craig and I are in similar camps, since I also believe that such
simple methods as EFT and G-Jo should be free for all to use ... at least in
their basic form. And often, just the basics are enough to accomplish the job
of providing relief.
“EFT works for the same reason G-Jo Acupressure does: They each change
the flow of ‘bioenergy’ (ch'i, qi or ki) to and from the body's
inner organs and glands. As this occurs, there is an immediate change in one's
blood chemistry (‘biochemistry’) and this, in turn, promptly causes
a wide range of symptomatic relief, both ‘physical’ as well as ‘emotional’.
As always, be well and namasté ... Mike”

From a different point of view here’s what Vaidya R.K. Mishra replied.
He outlines that right now is an especially bad time for anger and gave some
additional clues on how to change the flow of ch’i, (called Ojas in Ayurved).
He wrote:
“Hello All, This time promises to be quite a hectic and challenging
period due to the movement of Mars. This is a test of our Ojas. According to
Ayurved, due to this planetary event, and since Mars is an agni (fire) planet,
the agni level of the human physiology will increase in August.”
Vaidya Mishra is advising everyone to take three steps:
#1: Try and get more soma into our bodies by eating more somagenic foods (pears,
coconut, and coconut milk, etc.) that encourage loving and nurturing behavior,
#2: Keep watch on emotional eruptions, if a spouse is angry, feed them a pear.
Soma Cal, a calcium supplement made from coral tips harvested on a full moon
is good as well because moonlight and coral are antidotes for the planet Mars.
#3: Try to keep a good routine, and if anyone fights with you, blame it on
Mars - not on that person.
Here is another great and really enjoyable tip. Take a moon bath by strolling
in the moonlight. The sun is full of Agni, the moon full of Soma. The subtle
changes to your body can have as powerful an effect as tapping!

P.S. One reason Merri and I enjoy the Andes of Ecuador is because it’s
always cool!
Great weather is one more great reason to join us and learn how to invest
and do business around the world.
Ecuador’s great weather brings great flowers as you can see in the lobby
of Hotel Quito. Fresh roses are in abundance all over the Andes at about a
dollar a dozen.

You can now also have greater access to fresh roses
from Ecuador. Our friend,
Peter Fenichell, an American who manages a rose plantation in Ecuador writes: “Hi
Gary. If someone wants to know more about flowers, plus purchase them for special
events etc we have formed a partnership with www.TheFlowerExchange.com
This is a friendly/efficient group out of Miami. Great to be in Ecuador with
this cool weather, something most are missing. Peter”
This website offers fresh from the farm roses for under $12 a dozen! A really
great price.
