Humble Beginnings

In addition to Belue Farms Natural Market, which opened in 2001, the family name has been synonymous with Belue Farms which JL and Betty Belue opened as an orchard and peach-packing business in 1955. The self-sustaining farm raises and sells fresh peaches and Angus cattle. Son and long-time farmer, Mike Belue, now operates the farm, while daughter Harriett manages the farm’s finances as well as the market. Working in harmony with nature, Belue Farms takes pride in sustainable farming practices with high-quality soil and water to support no-till farming which protects the environment. In addition, the farm recycles manure from its pasture as a natural fertilizer. Such attention to detail has earned Belue Farms and Belue Farms Natural Market a stellar reputation across the Upstate.
