Whether the issues you are concerned about are chronic or more recent, it is important to understand that these symptoms are your body’s signal to you that there is an underlying problem.

YOUR SYMPTOMS ARE LIKE A SMOKE DETECTOR.

Smoke detectors are loud and annoying, just like your symptoms. Smoke detectors are not the problem, just like your symptoms. Something has triggered the smoke detector, just like your symptoms. Focusing on the smoke detector makes no sense, just like focusing on your symptoms. Looking for the reason your smoke detector was triggered in the first place makes much more sense, just like it does with your symptoms.

SHOULDN’T YOU START LOOKING FOR THE FIRE INSTEAD OF STARING AT THE SMOKE DETECTOR?

The “fire” in your body is often spinal bones that are misaligned and locked out of place, called Subluxation. This alters nerve function and can cause many different types of symptoms. In fact, the worst symptom of all is no symptom, because you don’t even know it is happening until it is too late.

OUR APPROACH IS DIFFERENT.

Rather than suppress the symptoms, we look at every spinal bone to make sure it is moving freely and not interfering with the information transmitted over the nervous system. When we take care of the fire, then your “smoke detector” will stop sounding.

What is a Subluxation?

Subluxation is a condition in which one or more spinal bones (vertebra) misalign, get locked out of place, and alter nerve flow (information transmitted over the nervous system). This most often occurs in the cervical spine (neck), lumbar spine (lower back), or the pelvic/sacrum area (Hips). This leads to obstructed nerve flow through your spinal cord or spinal nerve roots as well as disc degeneration, bones spurs and changes in the muscles, tendons, and ligaments surrounding the affected area.

Nerve flow (information transfer) is required for all areas of your body to function properly. So when the spinal bones misalign and lock out of place, altering nerve flow (known as Subluxation), not only is the spine and surrounding area affected, but other areas of your body will malfunction as well. This is because all areas of your body require proper nerve flow in order to work. Any disruption or obstruction in nerve flow, due to a misaligned and locked spinal bone (Subluxation), will cause malfunction with whatever affected organ or gland is at the end of that nerve.

People often associate Subluxation with neck/back pain, or “pinched nerves”. Although that can sometimes be the case, pain happens only in the minority of cases. In most cases, Subluxations (misaligned and locked spinal bones altering nerve flow) will not cause any symptoms at all. You can have no back pain but have a malfunction in other areas of your body due to the disruption of nerve flow as explained above. In these cases, people do not think of Subluxation as the cause of the decreased or altered function they are experiencing. This is because they do not understand the literal connection, through the nervous system, that the spine has with all areas of their body.
